Bummed on Replacement Parts

I called AG this morning to find out if it's possible to get a replacement part for the shoes that come with Sam's Spring Party Dress. They're a soft plastic (I don't think they're leather but could be wrong) and the strap on one of them tore. I hoped to buy a new pair but it turns out they aren't available. I'll have to stick with the damaged shoes or buy the whole outfit again.

I know this isn't a big deal but it seems to me that when Pleasant Rowland was running things, replacement parts were far more readily available. Does anyone else have the impression that Mattel is really scaling back in this area?

BTW, the valentines that come with the Spring Party Outfit are available as a replacement part, in case anyone needs/wants them. Sorry I didn't think to get the code for them.

You can buy the shoes & socks that go with the Spring Party Dress for $8. Here they are. Maybe that's why they don't have a replacement part for it?

You could try calling Customer Service and see if they would replace the shoes as they shouldn't tear very easily. Wouldn't hurt to try, since it doesn't cost anything to call. Good luck!

If you call customer service and they won't just send you a new pair, they do have a service where you send the damaged goods back to Wisconsin and you have to pay for shipping but they will send back a new item. Ask CS about this if they won't just send a new pair.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thanks so much! I didn't remember buying them separately and Customer Service didn't mention that so I really thought they'd come with the dress. Now all I have to do is figure out what else to add to the order to justify paying shipping. [img]smile.gif[/img]
